subway is pretty far down the list for me. Prefer new jersey mike subs, quizno, and even planet sub before subway

Subway = dry bread.. Much better choices for a sub . Our local grocery store ( Publix ) makes as good a sub as anyone..

Some of subway is good, but i agree with WNO, bread is dry.

Most of their stuff is horrible though

I don't eat at Subway because I want to. I eat there out of lack of options.

I just discovered the flatbreads at Subway. Its the only way to go as their bread is not that great.

Huge subway fan here. I ate there almost every day during the summer. That 5 dollar footlong that's a subway club is INCREDIBLE.

Some RobFunk tips: Stick with your primary cheeses: provolone, american & swiss. Don't even waste your time with cheddar unless the original recipe calls for it.

Don't waste your money on extra cheeses or meat, the sandwich is fine without it. Don't bother with green peepers, cucumbers or Jalapeños. All other vegetables are good, I get extra; it's like having a salad in a bun.

I tend to stay away from the pre -cooked stuff (with the exception of tuna), stay with the DELI MEAT sandwiches. Light mayo and chipotle are good for sauces, and I almost always get oil and vinegar.

When it comes to bread: believe it or not, the plain white is the lowest cal, the wheat is the healthiest and this will shock you: the wrap actually is actually the worst in terms of a health choice because of the fat in the oils (although I DO like the wrap as someone eluded to above). My fav is the Italian cheese.

Alright that's with my subway rant. Love the place, have been there so many times it's silly. Hope this helps someone out.

I tried a lot of stuff there though.

i got their philly cheese steak the other day....was pretty good, although they put way too many onions on it....almost like they were trying to get rid of them....jalepenos were good on it, but i was going for the spice.....banner peppers on the BMT seem to make a HUGE difference

soonerdawg1, love playing around with the variations and combinations there.

In terms of fast food they can't be beat. Everything always fresh and made right in front of you. And as a whole probably healthier than almost everything any other fast food joint has to offer.

What you pay for what you get? They are tops to me.

What do you guys think of Quiznos? Too expensive for me. Any sub with a drink and chips will come out to $15.
